International delivery company Parcel International has announced it is to run a same-day intra-European air cargo delivery service called 12send. This uses Schiphol Airport’s baggage system and KLM’s European network.
The 12send service is backed by KLM Cargo and Schiphol Cargo, which is going Europe wide after a successful pilot trial in October on KLM routes between Schiphol and Barcelona El Prat in Spain.
Under the new operation, cargo shipped on 12send is processed and loaded through Schiphol’s luggage system and travels by KLM to its destination.
Parcel International handles the first and last mile of the delivery, taking parcels to the end customer by electric van and e-bike.

The plan is to run 12send into 20 European cities.
Parcel International is the majority stakeholder in 12send, and KLM Cargo and Schiphol Cargo have contributed to the start-up and launch of the service.
