Absolutely puts first EV delivery van into operation

Leading London same-day delivery couriers Absolutely have started running their first electric van in the Capital. This will operate alongside the team of e-cargo-bike and bike riders who deliver goods within the ULEZ zone in London.

The Maxus eDeliver 3 van has a payload capacity of up to 945kg and has a range of up to 213 miles. It will handle loads too heavy and bulky for the cyclists who do the majority of jobs for the firm. It will also act as a mobile micro-hub for cyclists, who will collect parcels from it for ‘final yard’ delivery to customers.

According to Absolutely, “Offering medium load carrying ability while providing a nifty, agile, zero-emissions delivery vehicle in which to negotiate the often tortuous London streets and alleys and ever-present roadworks and diversions.”

This is the first such EV van to join the Absolutely fleet in London, with more such vehicles likely to be seen on the Capital’s roads in the coming months.
