Amazon has put all the systems in place to launch its Prime Now service in Los Angeles.
Amazon Prime Now is a service that has been set up in major centres around the world including parts of London, that promises to deliver goods within one hour of purchase. This will help the online giant compete with electronics and other stores that currently out compete with Amazon simply by having the required goods within reach at very short notice.
Amazon has set up three Prime Hubs in LA and Orange County. In addition, customers will be able to collect goods from a number of convenience stores including Bristol Farms, Sprouts Farmers Market and 99 Ranch Market.
Getting goods to the customer within an hour of order requires very strong logistics expertise and through its gentle roll out of the service across the US and the world, so Amazon has managed to make this happen as smoothly as possible.
