Online shopping giant Amazon has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UK government’s international business support organization UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) trade overseas.
With online trade increasing by 20% in the last twelve months, UKTI has an interest in helping UK businesses generate greater revenues from e-commerce to help the balance of trade.
Amazon has put together a suite of capabilities to help UK businesses sell their products overseas. These include currency exchange, translation, marketing, global shipment and distribution.
The agreement between UKTI and Amazon was signed at the GREAT Global Investment Conference in London on Monday.
