Major white glove delivery company ArrowXL has announced it is creating 100 new jobs nationwide thanks to an uptick in demand.
ArrowXL has seen a 10% increase in budgeted volumes, and is creating new jobs in warehouses in Airdrie, Wigan, Enfield and Worcester as well as its national delivery network. More than 50 new drivers are to be hired who will make 35-40 deliveries a day.
Peter Louden, ArrowXL COO, said: “An increase in demand shows that our customer experience and operations are succeeding. We want to meet the demand ambitiously and create much-needed jobs across the UK, and we’re excited to increase our capability. We received more than 200 applications in 24 hours for warehouse and delivery positions and interviews are currently underway.”
The pandemic-induced spike in demand for online shopping is showing no sign of abating. While this has been going on, ArrowXL has won a number of nationwide contracts with Argos, WaterRower and fireplace specialist Fired Up. It has also launched the new askAXL app that allows customers to track their goods in real-time down to a 30 minute final time window.
