B2C Europe and Menzies to work together

E-commerce delivery specialist B2C Europe and Menzies Distribution have struck a deal to work together. Menzies drivers will collect packaged orders destined for export from B@C Europe’s retail customers and deliver them to the processing centres in the UK.

Menzies Distribution, as with many other major logistics providers, is keen to get into the e-commerce market and B2C Europe provided that opportunity. MD of Menzies Distribution Forsyth Black said of the deal, “With an unrivalled knowledge of the UK’s delivery routes and a network of more than 1,900 vehicles, Menzies will provide B2C Europe with the perfect partner to expand their capability, allowing them to recruit retailers from a much wider area than currently.”

B2C Europe has operations in 10 countries across Europe, and Menzies Distribution will link into this network. With e-commerce one of the biggest growth markets in the logistics sector, Menzies should tap into this market through B2C’s infrastructure. In addition, B2C in the UK specialises in handling mixed mail and parcels, and also has a software and sorting system that ensures each package travels the most efficient route between sender and receiver.

Managing Director of B2C Europe (UK) Stuart Rivett said of the deal, “Given consumers’ increasing demands and high expectations when it comes to delivery, it is important that carriers start working together in order to meet these challenges and alleviate pressures. The deal with Menzies will not only provide our logistics services with more choice and greater flexibility, but also helps us at B2C Europe to widen our customer reach within the UK market.”

The two large distribution and delivery businesses working together in the UK will benefit each other with their individual expertise and specialisms, which in turn should significantly benefit their clients.
