Bob Black made Deputy Chair of Doddle

Bob Black has been made Deputy Chairman of specialist international white label click & collect, returns and ship from store technology company Doddle.

Black has spent more than 35 years in retail and logistics businesses across the UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas. Highlights of his career include senior roles at TNT where he was Managing Director of Benelux amongst other executive roles, and prior to joining Doddle was Group Chief Operating Officer at Australia Post.

While at Doddle, Black worked with Doddle to launch a network of pick-up/drop-off (PUDO) points to support online shopping in the country. Doddle now has installed its technology at 4,300 post offices and 350 parcel locker units, as well as retail outlets including supermarkets, department stores and petrol forecourts.

Black says: “I am excited to continue my involvement with Doddle – this time as part of the team.”

“The work that we did together at Australia Post was a game changer and helped make the online shopping experience seamless, giving customers the flexibility they wanted with the ability to collect and return parcels when and where it suits them. I intend to help other organisations and their customers across the globe reap similar benefits.”

Tim Robinson, CEO at Doddle, says: “Bob’s experience and knowledge of the retail and logistics sectors are unrivalled and he also brings with him a unique perspective having previously been on the customer side.”

“He understands the pain points a retailer goes through and this will help to drive our product development roadmap. Having the best people on board is key to our continued success and Bob is a great asset to the team.”
