Brighton Works takes in new lessee

Leased warehouse complex Brighton Works in Bevendean, has welcomed the Great British Charcuterie Co as its newest lessee.

The Brighton based deli company has expanded its wholesale and online operations and is now one of the UK’s most important cheese and charcuterie suppliers. It needed more space to expand its operations and have capacity for growth.

Brighton Works has lately been refurbished by owners Charter Land, and now offers seven warehouse and industrial units.

Charles Sandy, Director of Charter Land, said: ”We’ve had strong interest and are in the process of finalising a number of further lettings to a range of companies, some with a focus on food and hospitality.

”We’re delighted to welcome The Great British Charcuterie Co to Brighton Works and support the business with its plans for expansion and growth.

”Brighton Works has created an important central Brighton location for warehousing and light industrial businesses to answer the lack of good quality warehouse space in the city and demand from occupiers has been strong.

Phil Bartley, Managing Director, The Great British Charcuterie Co, said: ”When we heard about Brighton Works we knew this was the perfect place for us to base our growing business. Warehouse and industrial space in Brighton is in short supply so we’re very pleased we were able to find a home here with excellent transport links and that is so close to Brighton city centre.”
