Bringly expands across Germany

Germany based sustainable shipping platform Bringly has introduced same-day delivery across the country. Using the Bringly network, retailers can deliver goods to customers’ homes via bicycle or electric van the same day.

“Last year we started local same-day deliveries in 3 cities in Germany. We then optimized the delivery processes and services with our existing customers and local partners. We started local “Ship-from-Store”, but then also introduced national deliveries. We are proud that with our platform we can now also offer CO2-neutral and same-day deliveries to new retailers and web shops in Germany,” said CEO Rajiv Laigsingh.

The Bringly platform offers retailers and web shops a scalable total solution for same-day, sustainable delivery. The system optimises available delivery capacity of couriers so parcels are delivered quickly and sustainably. Goods will be delivered from shops, hubs, dark store customer fulfilment centres and central distribution centres.

In 2021, Bringly began operations in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg but has since added more than 10 cities across Germany to its network.“The cities in Germany are larger than in the Netherlands and that is why a different approach is needed. Sustainable same-day delivery is not yet the standard in Germany, but thanks to our scalable network of bicycles and electric vehicles and smart software, we are taking steps in the right direction,” says Head of Partnerships Kas van den Ban.

The company is backed with investment from Ponooc and Shamrock Ventures, and is currently engaged in a new investment round to further expand its platform and reach outside Germany to other European centres.
