Alibaba-owned Cainao Smart Logistics Network has announced a partnership with integrated smart supply chain solutions provider BEST Inc to launch an end-to-end delivery service between Malaysia and China for e-commerce delivery.
Transit times by sea will be reduced to six days from China, and parcels will be received as few as 24 hours after arriving in port.
The deal between Cainao and BEST will cover first- and last-mile, sea freight forwarding as well as overseas warehousing and customs clearance from vendors in China to customers in Malaysia.
Cainao will use electronic shipping labels for the parcels, enabling real-time tracking from dispatch to delivery.
As well as the China-Malaysia link, e-commerce vendors in Malaysia will be able to reach the Chinese consumer market too.
