The China State Post Bureau has announced that the postal sector in the country saw rapid revenue growth in July.
Revenue across the industry saw 22.9% growth to $10.79. Business volume hit 132 billion yuan ($18.47bn), a growth of 33.7% year on year.
Within this China’s express delivery companies handled 5.25 billion parcels in July, which was up 28.6% from the same period last year. Total revenues in the sector saw 26.3% to 60.84 billion yuan ($8.51bn) according to the China State post bureau.
The postal sector saw business revenue hit 528.71bn yuan ($73.98bn) in the first seven months of the year, up 21.3%.
