CIHT launches school education pack

The Chartered Institute for Highways and Transportation (CIHT) has launched an education pack for schools that highlights the rewarding and well paid careers in highways and transportation.

The pack is designed to give real world examples pertinent to the existing school curriculum in the science, technology, engineering, maths and technology (STEM) disciplines. 

Each class will be presented with a challenge that showcases ways they could improve the local the local area/support the community by introducing new ways to manage the challenge.

Martin Tugwell, President, CIHT said, “CIHT is very pleased to be able to launch this important education resource during Tomorrow’s Engineer’s Week. Our new activity pack has been designed to support STEM subjects which are critically important to the UK’s economic success.”

He continued, “We have produced this pack to bring engineering to life for children and give them the opportunity to start learning about the possibilities of a rewarding career in highways and transportation.”
