Citylogin opens second distribution centre in Madrid

Citylogin, FM Logistic’s urban delivery business, has opened a second Madrid distribution centre for last mile deliveries of large and bulky products to a leading retail client’s customers.

The 7,500 square metre site in San Fernando de Henares employs 30 staff as well as 40 drivers. The site is to provide home delivery and assembly of furniture and white goods for the Madrid area.

Citylogin’s selling point is that it uses low- and zero-emissions vehicles that operate on natural gas and electricity. In September it was awarded the “Muévete Verde” (“green mobility”) by Madrid’s city council for its work in sustainable urban logistics.

The company operates in 10 cities in Spain – Madrid, Barcelona, Saragossa, Bilbao, Coruña, Ourense, Valladolid, Granada, Córdoba and Cadiz using 300 vehicles. It also reaches into other European countries such as France and Italy.
