Grocery chain Co-Op and same-day delivery company Gophr are about to launch a delivery service to more than 50 locations across Scotland.
The new convenience and grocery delivery service will cover 4,500 lines of products. Shoppers can select their time of delivery in real-time. The service has gone live at six Glasgow stores and in the coming weeks will roll out to more than 50 other stores across Scotland in the coming weeks.
The service is available to customers within 4km of a Co-Op store, who book their delivery through the Co-Op website. Col-Op colleagues pick and pack the goods for delivery. A free click & collect service is also available.
Same-day delivery will soon be available from more than 650 Co-Ops across the UK by the end of the year. Matt Arrigonie, Co-op’s Online Operations Manager, said: “We continue to look for new ways to innovate and expand access to our products and services to deliver a truly compelling offer for consumers, conveniently. By collaborating with partners we can offer further flexibility and choice to meet community needs for shopping locally with ease, speed and safety. Delivering what our Members and customers want, when and where they need it.”
Graham Smith, Head of Delivery Partnerships, Gophr, said: “We are passionate about making deliveries more convenient, and believe our approach of working in a fair and transparent way is a great fit with Co-op, and will give many more communities and households across Scotland access to online on-demand groceries.”
