Parcel store network CollectPlus has announced it is reducing the pricing of its Send service.

According to a statement, CollectPlus is going to cut the cost of a 3-5day Economy parcel weighing less than 2kg is being cut to £3.99 from £4.99, while the cost of a 2kg or under two-day-service Standard parcel will be dropped from £5.69 to £4.69.

Commenting on the introduction of new pricing for the Send service, Matthew Jacques, Strategic Partnerships Director at CollectPlus, said: “Our customers love our Send service for the high level of convenience it offers to the sender as they can drop off their parcels at a time that suits them, seven days a week. Reducing the cost of the Send service will make it even more attractive to our customers, especially online marketplace sellers and small businesses.”

The cost reduction for the Send service comes after the launch of Social Send in October 2017. Through the scheme, customers can send parcels through CollectPlus who only know the recipient’s email address or phone number of the recipient.
