Croatian Post has launched its new sorting centre in Velika Gorica, near Zagreb.
The new sorting centre comprises of a letter and a parcel automated sorting line, and has 1500 employees on site. It is the biggest unit the postal operator has ever built.
There is also a data centre at the facility. The data centre has a digital mailbox for every citizen in Croatia.
Holger Winklbauer, CEO of the International Posts Corporation said: “It was an honour to be invited to the inauguration of the new sorting centre. Croatian Post’s commitment to innovation and growth fits very well in IPC’s long term strategy and we therefore reiterate our warm welcome to Croatian Post within the IPC community”.
