Daniel Carrera has been appointed UPS President of European operations.

Based at UPS Europe’s HQ in Brussels, Carrera is to manage operations of the logistics giant across 56 countries and territories with 50,000 employees.

Spanish national Carrera has been with UPS for 16 years, with his most recent role as president of the West Europe district. Prior to that he was president of East Europe and amongst other roles was MD of Spain and Portugal.

UPS said: “In these roles, he played a key role as the region, completed a $2bn, five-year investment cycle which improved speed, added capacity and met increased demands driven by e-commerce, healthcare, and cross-border trade.”
