German logistics giant DHL has added four more countries to its European Parcel Network. They are Romania, Croatia, Ireland and Bulgaria.
Romania and Ireland are to join through their postal operators, Urgent Cargus and An Post.
Croatia and Bulgaria are to join the DHL Parcel Network in November. The Bulgarian parcel service Rapido has signed up, as did Croatian Post (Hrvatska Posta). Apex Insight reported the Croatian Post story earlier today.
As a result of the new countries joining, the DHL Parcel Network now operates in 26 countries across Europe.
In a statement posted on its website, Deutsche Post DHL Group said: “The ongoing network expansion in cooperation with established local partners in the respective countries is in line with DHL’s strategy to continue its development in the European e-commerce market and offer customers the most extensive infrastructure possible. The clear goal is to establish a presence in all key European e-commerce markets by the end of 2018.”
