DHL eCommerce and Easyship go into partnership in US

Cloud-based shipping software company Easyship and DHL eCommerce are entering into a strategic partnership that will enable those using the Easyship platform to arrange same-day and next-day shipping using the DHL Parcel Metro service in the US.

The deal between the two firms uses technology to provide enhanced, affordable shipping solutions to small- and medium-sized merchants. This new capability went live December 17 in Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago for e-commerce merchants, offering affordable on-demand delivery for same-day and next-day shipping.

“By partnering with innovative shipping technologies like Easyship, we can make our services widely available and help businesses meet increasing consumer demands for same-day and next-day delivery. It’s not only about speed; it’s also about bringing quality and accessibility,” says Jorge Lopera, Senior Director, Delivery Concepts, DHL eCommerce Americas.

Thanks to economies of scale, it has proven difficult to offer similar low prices for small and medium sized businesses to that of larger e-commerce merchants. However, using BigCommerce, Shopfy and eBay, the Easyship platform can allow those scale sized discounts to those businesses using the platform.
