DHL Global Forwarding appoints new Sub Saharan Africa chief

DHL Global Forwarding has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer for Sub Saharan Africa. Daniella de Pauw will be based in Johannesburg and will be responsible for driving the business’s activities in the emerging markets on the continent.

De Paul was previously DHL Global Forwarding’s MD for South Africa, as well as Regional Director for Southern Africa and Indian Ocean. She took up the CEO post in August.

DHL Express has also announced a new person in post for the region, with Hennie Hymans being appointed Managing Director for Sub Saharan Africa.

As established markets in the US, Europe and South East Asia mature, DHL has invested heavily in the emerging markets of Africa.
