DHL Supply Chain saw turnover fall to £906,000 for the 12 months to 31 December 2018. This is considerably down from £75.7 million in 2017.
The company put the decline down to “a number of one-off items in 2018, including issues with the start-up of a new service to a restaurant chain, that had a significant impact on profit for the year” , in its results for the year.
Despite the problems with the new KFC contract (that was partially withdrawn in the end), DHL has said that the underlying business performance has been strong with new business, transfers and renewals off-setting the effect of any lost business resulting in turnover growth of four per cent.
