Doddle’s shops are to be included in the Hermes myHermes ParcelShop network through a new partnership between the two companies.
10 Doddle shops in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton, Norwich and Glasgow will join the network of 4500 myHermes ParcelShops. The remaining locations across the UK will be likely to be added to the network by the end of 2016.
By adding Doddle to the mix, Hermes customers will have additional click & collect locations. They will also be able to use the shops as drop off points for online shopping returns and myHermes parcel shipping. They will not have to pay more to use the Doddle shops.
The myHermes ParcelShop network has seen the number of parcels passing through it increase by 47%. There are 4500 parcel shops in the network, of which 80% are open until 2200 every day, while 92% of the UK population live within two miles of one of their outlets.
Commenting on the new relationship, Tim Robinson, Doddle CEO, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Hermes to offer more customers than ever before the option to choose Doddle as a pick up location at the checkout of their favourite retailers.”
Martijn de Lange, COO of Hermes, added, “Choice and convenience is at the heart of Hermes and we are committed to building on this through innovative technology, significant investment in our infrastructure such as a new £31m super hub in Rugby and by partnering with like-minded organisations.”
