Doddle is to offer new services and expand to new areas in the next 12 months.
The Runner service currently enables people to have an item delivered within an hour by a Doddle Runner after asking for the service via an app on their device. Though it is currently only available in central London, Doddle has announced that it plans to widen this service in the coming months.
The company is currently trialing a service called Doddle Neighbour whereby someone will be paid by the firm to receive parcels on neighbours’ behalf when they ask for a delivery. This will mean that those who are too busy to receive an item can pick it up at their convenience without dropping by a Doddle shop. This will significantly expand the company’s reach.
The startup began its operations last October and now claims to have over 85,000 clients across the UK. It has partnerships with 25 national retail and e-commerce businesses including Amazon and River Island.
