DPD offers new Precise service

Delivery company DPD has announced a new service to customers of computer manufacturer ASOS called Precise where customers can choose their own exact one hour delivery slot on the day of their own choosing.

According to DPD this new service puts ASOS customers “in complete control of their deliveries”.

As things stand, ASOS customers are notified by email or text of their next day, one hour delivery slot by DPD. With the new Precise service customers will be able to choose either to accept the delivery slot given to them by the notification, or choose their own preferred delivery day and a one hour delivery slot via the delivery company’s ‘in flight options’. Those choosing Precise deliveries can choose any time in the next seven days between 1100 and 1700.

Commenting on the new service, DPD’s CEO Dwain McDonald said: “Precise gives ASOS a real advantage at a time when all retailers are looking to innovate in the delivery space and wow customers.

“We’re focused on making parcel delivery as ‘personal’ as possible by using the best technology available to put customers in complete control of their deliveries. Giving customers timely information they can really use and a great choice of delivery options is genuinely liberating.”

Matt Rogers from ASOS added: “Precise is another first for ASOS and a huge leap forward on our customer focused delivery proposition. Our customers love getting their deliveries quickly and tell us they want control and choice over how and when their parcels arrive. Precise gives them exactly that.”
