Pickup / Drop off (PUDO) services are to be offered by Russian footwear retailer Obuv Rossii for DPD Russia. The retailer has 724 stores across the country, and have recently completed a trial of DPD PUDO.
The pilot started in December last year with 20 Obuv Rossii stores in cities including Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Vladivostok and Ulan-Ude. To begin with, 150 stores will have DPD PUDO points, joining DPD Russia’s 3570 existing points and lockers as of January this year.
“One of our major goals for the future is integration into the logistics infrastructure of the Russian e-commerce market. Partnership with DPD, the biggest express delivery operator of this country, is a part of this strategy”, says Anton Titov, Obuv Rossii Group of Companies Director. “With this step we can offer new convenient service to our clients, improve our performance in the retail networks, boost up traffic and omnichannel sales”.
In 2013, DPD began delivering to different shops in Obuv Rossii’s network. Ilya Martynov, DPD Russia Sales Director for Siberia and Russian Far East commented on the partnership: “We place high value on our partnership with such a dynamically developing company as Obuv Rossii and we are happy about this new level of cooperation.
“Delivering DPD parcels through the stores gives users convenient locations for receiving online purchases, attracts extra traffic for our partners and lets the shoe company diversify their services,” she added.
