DPD tops Which? customer satisfaction survey

For the second year running, delivery company DPD has topped a customer satisfaction survey done by consumer champion Which? This follows the company being given a special award in June by Which? in recognition of its customer services and excellence in delivery.

10,500 Which? members were surveyed over six months this year, looking at various facets of different delivery companies’ operations. For the second year in a row, DPD was found to be the best in the UK. Which? has been running a campaign against ‘Dodgy Deliveries’, where one in four e-commerce shoppers in the UK have had a very poor experience of goods delivered to their door. In some cases their goods have been placed in wheelie bins and the customer hasn’t been told, where in other cases goods have been damaged during the delivery process.

DPD has been found to meet or exceed all the criteria developed by Which? that make the delivery company a good one to use, with customer service policies including communicating a specific time window in which the goods will be delivered on the day for the customer’s convenience. Such policies have proven to be well received in final mile deliveries, and this has contributed toward DPD being the fastest growing delivery company in the UK.

CEO of DPD Dwain McDonald responded to the news by saying, “We have won a number of awards in recent years, but it is the opinion of the people we deliver to that matters most. We talk to customers all the time and have worked hard over the last few years to build a service based around their needs.”

DPD has also received the Queen’s Award for Innovation this year, marking a very good year for the company as it paves the way for excellence in the UK delivery business.
