FedEx has introduced the new Boeing 767F freighter aircraft into its European network. This is as part of the delivery company’s push to improve its air fleet environmental performance and operational efficiency.
Compared to the aircraft it replaces, the 767F has 16% more capacity at just under 45,000kg of freight. The aircraft is also 9% more fuel efficient and overall amounts to an emissions reduction of 21% per pound of cargo.
Paloma Romero-Salazar, VP of operations Spain & Portugal, FedEx Express said: ”Modernising our fleet with a cleaner, quieter, and more efficient aircraft is a top priority for FedEx Express and this new freighter represents another exciting milestone in this process.
The increased capacity of the Boeing 767F will also offer Spanish customers who export, greater opportunity to ship their goods and trade globally”.
