FedEx Express has opened a new operations centre in Vitoria, Spain. The new centre is to process FedEx and TNT, domestic and international shipments and is to serve as a gateway between Vitoria and the wider EU.
The FedEx Express site is in Jundiz, an industrial centre of Spain. It has close links with local transport links and many of TNT’s and FedEx Express’s customers.
“We are very proud to open our new facility in Vitoria, which gives us the scale, intra-European connectivity and the latest technology to deliver outstanding service to FedEx Express and TNT customers in the region and abroad,” said Paloma Romero-Salazar, vice president, Ground Operations, FedEx Express Spain and Portugal. She added, “This new centre also reflects our commitment to economic growth and development in the Basque Country and across Spain.”
Spain is an important market for FedEx Express as the business continues to expand across Europe. FedEx Express has a total of 35 stations and is present in more than 25 cities throughout Spain. Over 60 team members are employed in the Vitoria area.
