Four FedEx Freight maintenance technicians secured the top four spots at the 2015 TMC SuperTech competition in Orlando last week.
The annual competition is run by the American Trucking Association and is designed to foster excellence among truck maintenance teams in the industry. The competition involved 27 exams and practical skill tests on a range of truck maintenance areas including electronics, brakes, suspension systems, and natural gas fuelling systems.
The FedEx winners included the Idaho based Grand Champion Eric Vos, who has been working with FedEx Freight for the last eleven years. Vos had come second at the SuperTech Awards for the last two years. Brian Blevins from Arkansas came second, while Josh Nordick and Kevin Roumpapas took third and forth places respectively.
VP of FedEx Fleet Management and Facility Services Michael Hoffman said of the success, “These technicians are dedicated to being the best at what they do, and it showed in the competition. We are proud to have them represent FedEx Freight.”
