FedEx offers day-definite international shipping to more countries

FedEx has expanded its day-definite e-commerce delivery service in Europe. The FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) service is now available in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The FedEx service is being expanded due to trends in online shopping showing that 49% of shoppers will buy more online after the pandemic, and e-commerce revenues forecast to grow by 14% to €2.96 trillion globally in this calendar year.

Cross-border e-commerce in and around Europe is a key part of the global market. FICP is aimed at supporting European businesses in their growth journeys by giving them a better global and intra-European reach.

FedEx’s FICP offers online businesses the opportunity to offer an attractive international shipping option at good prices, getting good into Europe in 2-4 days, North America in 3 days and Asia-Pacific in 3-5 days.

“Since launching in Italy and the UK earlier this year, FedEx International Connect Plus has proven popular with e-commerce businesses and consumers looking to strike a balance between speed of delivery and value for money,” said Wouter Roels, Senior Vice President Marketing International, FedEx Express Europe. “As part of our European growth strategy, our aim is to offer our customers a suite of shipping solutions that are easily accessible and match their specific delivery needs.”
