FedEx simplifies COD payments via QR Pay

FedEx has introduced a QR-code payment system called QR Pay in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

The QR Pay system is designed to improve its cash on delivery process.

QR Pay is in addition to existing online payment methods. It is a secure and convenient payment option where the payer scans a QR code that has an embedded unique payment link. The QR code is presented to the customer by the delivery staff, or is printed on their invoices. Using their smartphone they are directed to their payment page and can use a range of platforms from AliPay and weChat Pay or PayPal to make the final payment.

“FedEx is constantly looking for ways to innovate, pioneer new solutions and offerings to address customers’ evolving needs in the region,” said Karen Reddington, President, Asia Pacific, FedEx Express. “The introduction of QR Pay is an example of how FedEx is using technology to provide greater flexibility and convenience for our customers, and ultimately a better experience when it comes to managing their logistics needs.”

QR Pay will soon be expanded to other markets in Asia Pacific.
