Freightex rebrands as Coyote Logistics

UK based, UPS owned European freight services provider Freightex has announced it is rebranding as Coyote Logistics.

Freightex was bought by UPS in February 2017. Coyote Logistics was founded in 2006 and is based in Chicago. IT was bought by the US logistics giant in August 2015.

According to UPS, the acquisition of Freightex helps the company establish both UPS and Coyote’s presence in the growing 3PL market in Europe.

Coyote President Jonathan Sisler commented: “As Coyote Logistics expands into Europe, we will do so as a single, unified brand.

“This will foster the continued growth of the strong culture, innovative technology, and commitment to service that helped us to succeed in North America. Every Coyote employee is a part of the same global team, motivated by the same values and vision.”

European President Tim Phillips added: “Over the last 12 months we have been able to enhance our European service levels by leveraging many of Coyote’s well-developed processes, particularly with respect to technology and training.

“The rebrand is a natural next step in our journey as we move forward with one clear brand and message of unity to our customers and carriers, many with whom we have global relationships.”
