International logistics provider Gefco Group has bought out Amsterdam based air sea and freight company IJS Global. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
IJS works into 16 countries, with expertise in Australia, China, South East Asia and the UK.
Luc Nadal of Gefco said, “Gefco management board Luc Nadal said: “The acquisition of IJS Global is fully in line with our development strategy. This operation will allow Gefco to enhance its position as the preferred partner of international industrial companies.”
The purchase will allow Gefco to expand its business in Europe and Australia. Once the deal is concluded, IJS Global’s SJoerd Van Loon will manage Gefco’s overseas freight forwarding operations.
