Royal Mail’s foreign logistics arm General Logistics Services (GLS) continued its acquisitions spree with the purchase of Spain’s Redyser. Redyser is Spain’s second biggest parcel delivery network.
GLS already owns the ASM Transporte Urgente which it acquired in June 2016.
Redyesr is based in Murcia, and delivers more than 14 million parcels a year through a network of over 200 agencies and franchises across 12 sites in Spain’s major cities.
In 2017 Redyser had revenues of around €45 million in 2017. The company will be consolidated within GLS existing Spanish operations.
Rico Back, Chief Executive Officer, GLS Group, said: “Following the successful acquisition and integration of ASM, Redyser supports our strategy to scale up and grow existing businesses in core markets. Redyser will help GLS provide a broader offering and expand our presence. Redyser customers will benefit from a strong European network.”
