Gnewt founder to step down

Zero emissions last-mile delivery company Gnewt founder Sam Clarke has said on LinkedIn he is to leave his job at the company now it has fully integrated into the Menzies Distribution fold. Clarke is to leave in Spring.

Clarke posted on the social media platform: “I can now announce officially, that earlier this year I tendered my resignation from Gnewt and shall be leaving in the Spring. Thanks to all Gnewt by Menzies Distribution for our time together.

“We helped create sustainability in logistics in London at a level that was largely unparalleled, we pioneered best practice, shaped policy, advised governments and have inadvertently educated competitor companies a hundred fold larger, that now rather flatteringly plagiarise our methods.

“I will continue my advisory roles for other organisations, as well as assisting Gnewt and Menzies when required going forward.”

Founded in 2008, Gnewt has a zero tailpipe emissions delivery fleet that provides final-mile delivery services for retailers, e-tailers and parcel carriers such as Hermes and TNT. It was acquired by Menzies Distribution ion 2017.
