Shopping and delivery company GoSend has launched in the UK. Customers have lockers at an address in the US and the contents are sent to the UK by the most economical method.

Shoppers using GoSend can buy products in the US and navigate around high delivery costs by having them delivered to special lockers in the tax free state of Delaware before having them sent to the UK by the most economical delivery route – or keep the items in a locker until multiple purchases have arrived and have them delivered to their UK addresses together.

The US company has secured special rates with a number of international express delivery companies to send customers’ parcels direct to the UK.

Customs duties will still be payable on new items, however the costs of delivery should be significantly reduced for regular UK online shoppers who buy direct from the US.
