Guernsey Post has launched a new service, IsleDeliver, a grocery delivery service for islanders.
Run independently from its postal activities, it has a dedicated fleet of refrigerated vehicles. At first it will be working with the Channel Islands Co Op and Marks & Spencer, both companies of which are developing their own online ordering systems for the service.
Boley Smillie, Chief Executive of Guernsey Post said “We believe there is a strong demand for a reliable grocery delivery service on the Island and we are delighted to be partnering with a number of retailers that will ultimately provide local consumers with good choice and added convenience.
“The service has been soft launched this week and customers interested in ordering their groceries online should look out for news from their local retailers.
“As grocery retailers develop their own online offering, we are ready to expand and provide a bespoke delivery service based on their individual requirements.”
