Last mile delivery specialists Hermes have joined a government initiative to encourage UK businesses to export overseas more.
The Department for International Trade’s (DIT) ‘Exporting is GREAT’ campaign is run with a number of major international companies that currently include British Airways, Microsoft, HSBC and Deloitte.
According to a joint statement, Hermes and the DIT are to develop joint research and insight, collaborate in joint marketing initiatives to showcase the Exporting is GREAT campaign, as well as developing products and services that can support UK businesses to prosper internationally.
“We are extremely proud to be working with DIT on the Exporting is GREAT campaign,” said Luke Batten, international business manager, Hermes.
“The events have already provided us with a great opportunity to encourage SMEs to export and we look forward to contributing to the future success of the campaign.”
Baroness Rona Fairhead, minister for trade and exports, said: “The Department for International Trade is delighted to be partnering with Hermes to inspire and support UK businesses as they explore the opportunities offered by exporting.
