Hermes offers eBay printerless labelling for shipping

Hermes UK has launched eBay printerless labelling for shipping solution. This is available to eBay customers when they buy this postage option through eBay delivery powered by Shutl.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Hermes to deliver print-in-store postage labels to UK sellers via eBay delivery powered by Shutl. Print in store offers eBay UK sellers the opportunity to enjoy selling on eBay, without needing a printer. eBay sees this as an important milestone in helping to create speed and convenience in sellers’ busy lives, by making it as quick and easy as possible for them to buy postage and send items from the eBay platform,” said Mike Pitt, Director Shipping and Logistics, eBay Marketplaces UK

eBay is now promoting its Hermes printerless labelling for shipping with a £1 delivery offer through selected private sellers.

The printerless labelling system works with labels for sold eBay items paid for on the marketplace. Customers are sent a QR code on their smartphone as well as a six digit authorisation code. This can be used at one of the 2600 Hermes ParcelShops around the UK where the label is printed on a self-adhesive label free of charge. More ParcelShops are to offer the service in 2019. Once the parcel is sent it on the Shutl 2-3 day service it can be tracked throughout its journey.

85% of all Hermes Send customers already use the Hermes ParcelShop network to send or receive parcels.

“We’re excited to launch the Hermes printer-less labelling solution with eBay, which will enhance the overall sending experience for customers by improving efficiencies and convenience as we help to reduce dependence on the hassle and cost of a printer, and roll this service out across our ParcelShops network,” said Claire Phelan, Head of Hermes Send and Partnerships
