InPost installs parcel lockers on GTR railway network

InPost has installed parcel lockers across the UK Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) network.

Eleven stations now have InPost lockers from where customers can pick up parcels. Client companies include ASOS, JD Sports, French Connection and Schuh.

Passengers on the GTR network can choose a parcel locker from where to collect their parcels. When the parcel is in the locker they will be sent a QR code by SMS and email. To open the parcel locker they scan the QR code.

GTR’s Senior Business Development Manager Anna Kiddle said: “It takes less than 10 seconds to pick a parcel up, and the new lockers should really help our customers to arrange deliveries in a more flexible way. The company’s aim is also to be sustainable and environmentally friendly by encouraging the use of these lockers, diverting use away from single delivery drop-offs to houses.”

InPost UK Chief Executive Jason Tavaria said: “We are delighted to work in partnership with Govia Thameslink Railway offering convenient and greener delivery, available 24/7 to help people get on with their daily lives without having to worry about delivery.”
