Omnichannel retailer John Lewis has announced it has taken on a 46,000 square-foot unit in Southampton that will be used as a customer delivery hub and to provide additional capacity to serve the South Coast region.
The new unit is to replace John Lewis existing warehouse in Southampton city centre, and the full relocation as expected to take place by April 2019. The deal in question it Is to cost £9 per square foot on a 15 year lease.
James Haestier, director, industrial and logistics at Colliers International, who advised John Lewis, said: “At South Central, John Lewis has successfully collaborated with Peel Logistics to strategically build a facility to its exact needs and design which has also been delivered on time and to specification.”
