Jonathan Clark is to be chief executive of Air Menzies International, a subsidiary of Menzies Aviation. He is to begin in the job early next year.
Clark is an experienced hand in air freight. He has worked in the sector for 30 years and has had positions at MSAS Cargo international (now part of DHL), Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, DB Schenker and (most recently) Cargolux Airlines, where he has served as Africa Director since 2016.
“I am truly excited about the prospect of leading AMI, an organisation that I have watched grow over the years,” said Clark. “Most of all, I am looking forward to leading a team that is quality-driven, customer-focused and has given AMI its excellent name in the market.
“The AMI team and I will concentrate on ways in which we can innovate and grow the business to be ready for the ever-changing customer demands in this competitive market place.”
The company has indicated that Clark’s extensive experience in air freight was one of the main reasons he was appointed to the role, providing his extensive experience to provide a steady hand on the company tiller.
