UK business Ketra Logistics has just bought two double-deck trailers for £60,000 in order to support a new contract with professional catering products specialists Nevilles. Part of the Palletways network, Ketra Logistics will be handling around 20, 000 pallets a year for Nevilles.
Nevilles trades under the brand name of Genware, and is a family owned business that has been running since the 1960’s. It provides tableware and light catering equipment to the hospitality industry in the UK and Ireland.
MD of Ketra Logistics Martyn Young said of the new investment, “This investment in branded vehicles cements our partnership with Nevilles and shows just how committed we are in working with them. The three-year contract is great news for us and supports our growth plans to be market leaders in the distribution of palletised freight in South East England. Our collaboration will also enable us to explore new market opportunities in the hospitality and catering industry.”
Tristan Jones, Operations Director at Nevilles, added: “We are delighted with the new lorries, which are a fantastic way to promote our Genware brand and messaging on the move.
“We’ve been working with Ketra for nearly a year now and have been impressed by the company’s local team and service, the nationwide network and its state-of-the-art IT systems. Our partnership will also enable us to explore new opportunities outside of the UK, thanks to its ties with the Palletways network which offers delivery services across Europe.”
Ketra Logistics has been going since 1979 and employs more than 40 people in London. Its 30 strong fleet of HGVs and LGVs handles over 170,000 pallets a year. It is also linked to the Palletways network, which passes the company palletised freight around the UK and Ireland. The new investment is a sign of confidence in their business in the coming years.
