La Groupe La Poste – revenues up 11%

In its latest financial statement, La Groupe La Poste reported operating revenue growth of 11% to €34.6bn in 2021, and profits up to €3.4bn from €3.1 billion the year before.

Parcel volumes grew by 10.7% in 2021 to 2.8 billion parcels delivered in the year, though this was somewhat offset by a fall in mail volumes of 2.4%. The global growth in e-commerce has benefitted the French postal operator’s parcel delivery subsidiaries like DPD and GeoPost.

Chair of the Board of Directors of La Groupe La Poste, Philippe Wahl said, “In 2021, La Poste Groupe generated operating revenue of €34.6 billion and reported a recovery in results thanks to the commitment and efficiency of its postal workers. Thanks also to our shareholders, La Caisse des Dépôts and the French State, who supported our investments, thus consolidating our development.

We have already achieved major strategic milestones in 2021. GeoPost accelerated its development in Europe and at intercontinental level. A new business unit, Retail Customers and Digital Services, was created on 1 July, combining the power of our physical network with the expertise of our digital services to improve customer satisfaction, our top strategic priority.”
