French operator La Poste is heading toward returning to a full service as the country reopens after lockdown.
Thanks to the pandemic, only 87% of its post boxes were emptied daily but this is set to return to 100%.
Beginning today (Monday 11 May) priority post, registered letters and parcels are to be delivered six days a week as per its universal service obligation.
All 7,700 La Poste post offices are to reopen by the end of the month, though hours will be limited according to local demand and staff availability.
The French government has signalled that the full end to lockdown is set for June 2 when all workers will be encouraged to return to the workplace.
