Manchester Met University had problems with the spiralling costs of its direct to desk internal mail delivery service. It was offered space in the new Faculty of Business and Law building so went to the mailroom furniture supplies company for solutions.

The result of the collaboration has been that the university is going to a ‘self collect’ system that will save costs on staffing. Neopost has supplied it with 13 tailor made self collect rooms throughout the university’s campuses that are built to withstand heavy use. Staff will have access via their key cards and will collect their mail from trays where larger parcels will be left on racking in these rooms.
