Mart Mägi has been appointed Chair of the Management Board of Omniva (AS Eesti Post). He is to begin in his role May 10th.

Mägi is currently DG of Statistics Estonia and has worked as MD in Amserv Group, as well as CEO of Hansa Leasing and Sampo Bank.

His variety of top level management positions was what led him to win the open selection to be Chairman of the Omniva board. Helo Meigas, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Omniva said that other important criteria were his experience in leading customer-oriented companies as well as recent success in reorganising Statistics Estonia. “We believe that Mart, as the Chairman of the Management Board, can improve customer satisfaction across all services in the Estonian market and also in Latvia and Lithuania, where Omniva has built up a profitable parcel business.”

Mägi sees Omniva as an important challenge. “Omniva team has done a great job building the company to be the leading logistics business in the Baltics. It’s important that while being the market leaders, we are also close to our customers and guarantee good availability and accessibility of services. The logistics and postal field is in big change and I believe that my experience in managing changes can help Omniva reach high customer satisfaction and efficiency.”
