MetaPack and JDA Software report 35% jump in parcel volumes

E-commerce delivery management provider MetaPack and JDA Software, a specialist in end-to-end, integrated retail omni-channel and supply chain solutions, have said they have had a 35% jump in year on year deliveries made across their platforms.

When measured against the accepted rate of e-commerce volume growth in the UK of 13.6%, this growth is far better than the norm in the UK.

Bruce Fair, Chief Revenue Officer of Metapack said, “This fantastic growth is not just indicative of a general expansion in the UK eCommerce market, especially amongst some of our own retail customers, but more particularly the focus that eCommerce Directors are now placing on high quality, on-time delivery services that meet consumers’ needs and also support profitability.”

“The levels of sophistication and functionality that both the JDA and MetaPack platforms offer means that omni-channel retailers can take advantage of recent innovations such as same day delivery, lockers and pick-up points thus improving consumer loyalty and ultimately increasing delivery volumes.”

A large number of the UK’s leading retail omni-channel brands are using both JDA and MetaPack solutions for their deliveries, and include ASOS, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Wiggle, Marks & Spencer, Sports Direct, Halfords and Tesco.

Ecommerce support platforms are a major part of the e-commerce industry. Metapack and JDA Software are market leaders and are benefitting from the astounding growth in the industry as UK businesses focus more on their online platforms and less on their high streets shops as revenue streams. Their growth figures indicate that they are increasingly seen as market leaders.
