Swiss supermarket Migros customers will soon be able to collect online orders through Swiss Post at their local supermarket.
The pick up / drop off (PUDO) service is to be available at 300 Migros branches across the country. The Swiss Post service is to be integrated into the grocer’s PickMup service that allows customers to shop online and pick up the goods in-store.
The PUDO service is available to those with a Swiss Post online account, and they will be able to direct their goods to a specific branch, and they will also be able to send letters from there.
“The partnership with Swiss Post provides added value for our customers during their everyday routines,” said Matthias Wunderlin, head of marketing at Migros.
Thomas Baur, head of PostalNetwork at Swiss Post, said: “Migros, with its dense, nationwide network of branches is an ideal partner for us. We want to be where our customers are and with this service this we’re very well placed indeed.”
