Parcel and freight delivery company Tuffnells has announced that all Marks & Spencer distribution centres facing redundancy at the Warrington site are guaranteed an interview should their jobs be threatened and they apply to Tuffnells.
M&S announced that it would make 450 workers redundant at the Hardwick site in September. Jonathan Bunting, COO of Connect Group plc, which owns Tuffnells said in a statement, “We sympathise with all the workers affected by the recent news in Warrington. As we reach a busy period of year, we have a number of vacancies to fill, and as a result we are delighted to be in a position to be able to guarantee interviews to all experienced people who are interested in joining our team.”
According to Tuffnells it has vacancies for drivers and in its warehouse. “My message to those impacted by the M&S decision is simple – get in touch with Tuffnells,” said Bunting.
